saying I love you

Why is it that some people can only say I love you after having a few drinks.

Last night I was talking to my ex boyfriend who has soberly told me many times that he does NOT love me and that all the times that he soberly told me he loved me were just attempts to get me to stay and not actually have the audacity to go out and find someone that might actually be telling the truth when they tell me they love me.

But last night my ex boyfriend decided to tell me that he loved me. lovely. Men. They confuse the crap out of me! How pathetic is it that he needs to have 8 drinks before he can say I love you? I'm still trying to decide if its a reflection of me or him.
